Support the Library

Volunteer

Volunteers play a significant role at the Union Library by providing valuable assistance to library staff and customers. Our goal is to place volunteers in areas that will provide a meaningful experience for you, while contributing to the library’s service in the most effective way possible.

Whether you are looking for an ongoing volunteer opportunity or are just interested in helping out with a special event, we value your interest in serving our community through library service.

If you believe your skills and interests could be of help to the library, please contact 215-672-1420.

Donate Funds

Monetary donations are always welcome and appreciated. The library accepts gifts of all sizes, from individuals or organizations, in support of library services and programs. All donations are tax-deductible.

You can donate online via Paypal.

Checks can be made payable to Union Library and mailed to 243 S. York Road, Hatboro Pa 19040, or dropped off at the Circulation Desk.

Shop Rite Receipt Tape Program

When you buy groceries at ShopRite of Warminster, bring your receipts to the library. ShopRite donates a percentage of all your purchases to the library.

Donate Books & More

Donations of new and used books, CDs and DVDs are appreciated. During library hours, please ask a staff member where it would be best to drop off the donation. If you are dropping books off when the library is closed, please place in the metal shed located at the rear of the parking lot. For collections larger than one box, please contact the library before bringing materials in.

We do not accept these items:

  • Encyclopedias
  • Magazines
  • Textbooks
  • Audio cassettes
  • VHS tapes
  • Reader’s Digest Condensed Books

The library reserves the right to decide if a donated item will be added to the collection, sold, recycled, or otherwise disposed of.

We are grateful to the community for their generous book donations.

Book Sales

The Myron G. Thomas Bookshop houses gently used books that are sold daily at our library. The bookshop is open during regular library hours, except when the space is rented for a private occasion. All proceeds directly benefit the library.

Our outdoor book sales are two of our biggest fundraisers each year. They are family fun-filled events held on library grounds. Thousands of gently used books are available.
